Job description
Adecco is currently hiring a full-time experienced Purchaser to join our client's dynamic team in Scarborough, ON. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing high-quality materials and services, negotiating supplier agreements, and maintaining efficient inventory levels. You should be detail-oriented, analytical, and skilled at building strong supplier relationships to support operational success.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in optimizing supply chain efficiency and contributing to the success of a forward-thinking organization.
  • Pay Rate: $ 35.00/hour
  • Location: Scarborough, ON
  • Shift: Monday to Friday
  • Job type: Temporary | Full-time | 6-month contract (possibility of extension)

Responsibilities:
  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers to meet company needs. Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to secure optimal value.
  • Monitor stock levels to avoid shortages or overstocking. Prepare and issue purchase orders to maintain supply continuity.
  • Ensure purchased goods and services meet required specifications, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Analyze market trends, identify cost-saving opportunities, and benchmark supplier pricing for competitiveness.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and communications in line with company policies and legal regulations.
  • Partner with finance, operations, and other internal teams to align purchasing strategies with business objectives.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement. Experience with electronic parts procurement is a strong asset.
  • Excellent negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and relationship management abilities.
  • Proficiency with purchasing or ERP software and market research tools.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
