Job description
Job Description

EBC thinks outside the box and deploys all its know-how to carry out major infrastructure projects: bridges, roads, highways, tunnels, marine installations. Our ability to meet deadlines and budgets as well as our vast expertise in the field allow us to actively participate in large-scale projects such as the Samuel-De-Champlain Bridge, the Réseau Express Métropolitain (REM) and the Site C hydro-electric power station located near Fort St-John in British Columbia.

Our seasoned team of engineers, project managers and other specialists also put their energy into the construction of wind farms and to the benefit of hydroelectric projects such as dams, power stations, tunnels and dikes. EBC is positioned as a true leader in this sector. Our range of specialized services has made our reputation in Canada.

  • Analyze recurring purchasing requirements for current projects.

  • Request information from suppliers with whom the Division has an agreement at all times.
  • Modify purchase orders when they do not match invoicing, or contact the supplier to rectify the situation.

  • Follow-up on the delivery of orders to the worksite (when items are out of stock, for example).
  • Follow up accounting receipts of orders with accounting technicians.
  • Ensure that suppliers critical to the continuity of site operations are paid promptly (follow-up with accounting, shorter payment deadlines).
  • Collaborate in monitoring general terms and conditions:
  • Accompany the project teams under his/her responsibility to draw up recommendations to prevent or control cost overruns.
  • When an order's budget envelope is increased, verify the phase/sub-phase and advise those responsible for cost control.
  • Extract a monthly report of commitments to the general conditions of the projects under his/her responsibility and carry out the analysis of balances committed unnecessarily (cancel obsolete residual balances and follow up with the accounting technicians for balances to be closed but already partially received).
  • Provide feedback to the Estimating department in order to better plan general conditions budgets in the future.

Site equipment management:

  • Support the Site Operations Manager and Project Management in the sound management and monitoring of their internal and external site resources through periodic reports and follow-ups.
  • Coordinate and track equipment rented internally (computers, vehicles, containers, trailers, etc.).
  • Maintain an up-to-date list of equipment owned by the Division (offices, trailers, tools, etc.) in collaboration with the Site Operations Manager.
