Overview : We are looking for a reliable and caring nanny to look after our two children, an 18-month-old toddler and a 12-year-old, while I work from home. This role includes child supervision, school pick-up, meal preparation for the whole family, light housekeeping duties, and grocery shopping. We are seeking someone who is proactive, organized, and compassionate, with a focus on providing a safe and nurturing environment for our children. Additionally, my wife values a healthy, vegetarian lifestyle, and the ideal candidate should be comfortable preparing meals that meet these dietary needs. Must be comfortable with dogs.

Responsibilities : Childcare :

Supervise and care for the 18-month-old throughout the day, including playtime, naps, and feeding.

Assist with the 12-year-old's after-school routine, including helping with homework, providing snacks, and ensuring they engage in constructive activities.

Ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times.

Engage the children in age-appropriate activities, including outdoor play, arts and crafts, and educational games.

School Pick-Up :

Pick up the 12-year-old from school and bring them home safely.

Ensure the 12-year-old’s transition from school to home is smooth, including unpacking school bags and preparing for the evening routine.

Meal Preparation :

Prepare healthy meals for the entire family, adhering to a vegetarian diet for the wife.

Assist with meal planning, shopping for groceries, and organizing food storage.

Prepare snacks, lunchboxes, and ensure the kids have well-balanced meals.

Light Housekeeping :

Perform basic household cleaning duties such as laundry, dishes, vacuuming, and tidying up common areas.

Keep the kitchen organized, especially after meal prep.

Ensure the children's play areas are clean and safe.

Grocery Shopping :

Plan and shop for groceries based on family needs.

Ensure the household is stocked with fresh produce, snacks, and necessary items for meal preparation.

Qualifications :

Previous experience in childcare, including caring for infants and school-aged children.

Ability to prepare vegetarian meals and understanding of dietary restrictions.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Comfortable with light housekeeping tasks.

Comfortable with dogs.

Ability to multitask and prioritize duties while ensuring children are well cared for.

Good communication skills and a positive, friendly attitude.

First Aid / CPR certification is preferred but not required.

Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.

This position will require flexibility, as some days may have slightly different demands depending on the children’s schedules or other needs.
