Job Summary:
The Production Technician will be responsible for the overall production. The laborer must ensure the correct operation of the production equipment and processes inside the plant. The position requires the work to be performed from a standing position and frequent mobility.
The current job opening is Part Time in the Production Die Room. The shift will be Thursday, Friday and Saturday; 6:30am – 2:30pm (24 hours a week).
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Preparing print plates as per corrugator/machine lineups
- Making specialty ink for upcoming orders
- Tooling inspection after each order is completed
- Ink kitchen PM duties
- Department daily housekeeping
- Tooling repairs
- Email communication with sales team, CSR team, and leadership team
- Inventory of ink and purchasing requests
- Other duties related to the job
Qualifications:
- Excellent eye for detail
- Able to perform physical work throughout the day
- Able to lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Able to work in an environment where there could be a high degree of variation, noise, and dust
- Excellent team worker
- Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills
- Ability to work overtime as required
- Excellent attendance is required to fulfill operation needs
- Knowledge of flexography and the corrugated industry asset
