Inventory controller Jobs in Pickering, ON

We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented US Controller to oversee and manage accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. This role requires a strong understanding of financial reporting, and internal control functions for a fast-growing clean-technology organization. The ideal candidate is hands-on, is looking to come in and hit the ground running via standardizing internal controls, SOP, and excels in dynamic environments with a strong background in manufacturing, inventory management, multi-currency operations, ERP implementation, and full-cycle accounting.

Responsibilities :

• Define accounting workflows, approval structures, and system controls.
• Supervise high-volume AP / AR processes; ensure timely payments and collections.
• Manage payroll processing and related reporting.
• Implement process improvements for scalability and accuracy.
• Lead the full month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing process.
• Prepare, analyze, and present US GAAP-compliant financial statements (P& L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Manage general ledger accuracy, account reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Own corporate cash management, bank reporting, and forecasting.
• Drive continuous improvement of accounting policies and internal controls.
• Lead annual audits and ensure timely review completion.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Oversee tax filings, payroll compliance, and regulatory reporting.
• Oversee inventory accounting including WIP tracking, standard costing, BOM accuracy, cycle counts, and COGS reconciliation.
• Partner with Operations to analyze production variances, scrap, rework, and throughput efficiencies.
• Manage foreign currency transactions, revaluations, intercompany accounts, and multi-entity consolidations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. Masters preferred.
• CPA required.
• 7–12+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3+ years in a Controller or Assistant Controller role.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and audit processes.
• Experience in manufacturing accounting, including standard costing, BOMs, WIP, and inventory controls.
• Expertise in full-cycle payroll, AP / AR management, tax compliance, and bank reconciliations.
• Hands-on ERP solutions experience (NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, or similar).
• Multi-currency and multi-entity consolidation experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading process improvements, ERP implementations, or system transformations.
