Benefits include health and dental coverage and eye exams. Our client, an established commercial refrigeration and HVAC contractor, is hiring a Technical Parts & Service Coordinator to support technicians servicing supermarkets and other commercial sites. When a technician calls about a failed motor, compressor or heat exchanger, you’ll help work out what the repair needs. You’ll ask the right questions, compare replacement options and confirm compatibility with the technician. Then you’ll coordinate the parts, materials, rentals and timing so the crew can complete the work at an operating site. What you’ll do
- Work with technicians to plan repairs, anticipate what the crew will need on site, and coordinate timing around store operations.
- Research replacement parts when the original is unavailable. Compare specifications, flag differences and confirm suitability with the technician before ordering.
- Source parts, materials and rental equipment. Compare pricing and availability, issue and track purchase orders, and arrange pickups and deliveries.
- Help prepare estimates and track job costs. Flag pricing or delivery issues early so the service team can adjust the plan.
- Receive and check shipments, maintain inventory records in Excel, complete stock counts and replenish warehouse and technician vehicle stock.
- Reconcile supplier invoices and follow up on backorders, returns and warranty credits.
What you bring
- Experience supporting or performing mechanical equipment repairs, with a concrete example of how you helped plan the work from start to finish.
- Ability to read technical specifications, research alternatives and explain what needs to be verified before a replacement part is ordered.
- Experience with parts purchasing, supplier follow-up and hands-on inventory or stockroom work.
- Ability to prioritize urgent service requests and keep technicians, suppliers and customers informed.
- Comfort using Excel to track stock, orders and costs, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs when required.
Commercial refrigeration service experience is strongly preferred, especially in supermarkets or other operating commercial sites. Related commercial HVAC or mechanical service experience will be considered if you’ve helped plan repairs and can show how you assessed replacement parts and anticipated what the crew would need. To apply, send your résumé. If you’ve helped coordinate a repair where the original part was unavailable, include a brief example of what you did.
