About the Opportunity
Month-End Close
- Lead and manage the monthly close process (typically 5–10 business days)
Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations
Ensure accurate recording of revenue, expenses, accruals, and inventory
Reconcile inventory, WIP, and cost of goods sold
Review production and cost variances
Prepare monthly financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
Provide variance analysis and explanations Cost & Inventory Accounting
Maintain standard costing and update cost rolls as needed
Analyze material, labor, and overhead variances
Reconcile perpetual inventory to the general ledger
Support and oversee cycle counts and physical inventory
Financial Reporting
Prepare monthly management reporting package
Track key metrics such as gross margin and inventory turnover
Assist with budgeting and forecasting updates General Accounting Oversight
Oversee AP, AR, and payroll processes
Ensure accurate and timely tax filings (sales tax, payroll tax)
Maintain internal controls and accounting policies
Support year-end audit and external accountants
About You
CPA designation preferred
5+ years of accounting experience
Manufacturing experience strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of cost accounting and inventory
Experience with ERP / accounting systems
Advanced Excel skills
Pay Rate : $50.00 / Hour
