Are you looking for a new position in a fast growing and challenging environment? Are you a professional interested in combining tax solutions with innovative technology? Look at the opportunity below.

What will your typical day look like?

As a Manager/Senior Manager in Indirect Tax Recovery, you will be involved in planning, leading and delivering indirect tax recovery engagements for a diverse client base. You will play a key role in managing client relationships, leading engagement teams, and advising clients on complex indirect tax matters.

Working closely with our Indirect Tax Recovery team, you will provide end to end recovery services by identifying and securing unclaimed refunds related to GST/HST/QST, provincial retail sales taxes, and other indirect taxes. In doing so, you will also consider broader advisory implications and opportunities to enhance overall tax efficiency for our clients.

You will be actively involved in addressing complex technical issues, including conducting in depth research and preparing technical memoranda, detailed analyses, spreadsheets, reports, and client correspondence on sophisticated indirect tax matters. Your work will support both recovery opportunities and strategic advisory initiatives.

As part of a collaborative team of forward thinking professionals with deep consulting and industry experience, you will help clients generate meaningful cash savings and resolve complex GST/HST issues, from initial strategy through execution.

A core aspect of your role will be building and maintaining strong, long term client relationships. You will be viewed as a trusted advisor, proactively supporting clients with their indirect tax needs and delivering practical, high quality solutions.

Key responsibilities include leading client engagements, managing and mentoring team members, coordinating deliverables, and ensuring technical excellence and client satisfaction across all aspects of indirect tax recovery services. You will also be expected to coach and mentor team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning while adopting the firm’s apprenticeship training model.

About the team

Currently we are seeking a Manager/Senior Manager for our Indirect Tax Recovery group. Our Indirect Tax team helps clients navigate complex tax environments, optimize compliance, and implement innovative strategies. We work with many large Canadian organizations to deliver solutions that drive efficiency and transparency.

A career in Indirect Tax will offer you the opportunity to work in a fast growing and challenging environment with like-minded people who are eminent in their respective technical field. You will develop solutions through debate and discussion, in our teams and with clients. You will continue your professional development to reinforce and expand your chosen career path with access to world-class learning and development programs.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

You are someone with:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of progressive experience in indirect tax, with a strong focus on the public sector.
  • Proven experience managing client engagements and leading project teams.
  • Strong knowledge of the GST/HST legislation and public sector.
  • Ability to travel to client sites will be required.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • A completed accounting designation (CPA) would be an asset.
  • Strong commitment to professional and client service excellence.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
