About the Opportunity
  • Perform detailed account reconciliations and maintain accurate lead sheet tracking.
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports and analysis to support leadership decision making.
  • Oversee accounts receivable tracking and ensure timely follow-up and reporting.
  • Support office operating budgeting processes, including preparation, monitoring, and variance analysis.
  • Prepare cost reporting and cost breakdowns for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain contract renewal tracking and ensure timely updates and documentation.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of financial processes and internal controls.
  • Complete HST reconciliations and ensure accurate, timely CRA remittances.
  • Track and pay vendors through the organization’s electronic payee banking system.
  • Prepare, issue, and track cost, sharing invoices for external partners.
  • Manage and reconcile the charitable trust associated with the annual golf tournament.
  • Review and reconcile monthly gas receipts for approximately 100 staff members.
  • Track and reconcile grievance trust activity.
  • Assist with audit preparation, including developing audit schedules and supporting documentation.
About You
  • CPA designation or near completion of CPA certification (final stages strongly preferred)
  • 5–8 years of relevant accounting experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to interpret complex financial data quickly.
  • Experience in unionized, non-profit, or membership-based organizations (asset but not required).
  • Familiarity with financial systems, Quickbooks, ERP platforms, Power BI or reporting software.
  • Experience improving or documenting internal controls and accounting processes.
Salary Range
$105,000 - $115,000 / year
