Summary

Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, the RN Supervisor assists in supervising nursing services and setting standards of care to ensure residents receive personalized, comprehensive care addressing their medical, physical, emotional, and psychological needs.

Qualifications

Licensed and in good standing with the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners.

Essential Functions

• Support the Director of Nursing in monitoring, evaluating, and organizing nursing care.
• Communicate effectively with the DON, MD, team members, and residents to promote optimal clinical outcomes.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and evaluate resident care plans.
• Conduct regular rounds and assist residents and staff as needed.
• Apply critical thinking to resident conditions and implement interventions to prevent avoidable rehospitalizations.
• Ensure timely completion of electronic medical records and documentation.
• Educate staff on policies and procedures.
• Support newly hired nursing staff.
• Hours may vary based on facility needs, including some weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Physical Requirements

Ability to perform movements such as pushing, pulling, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, kneeling, and reaching, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Work Schedule

As assigned, including some weekends, evenings, and holidays; non-exempt position.
