Job description
Are you a fast-thinking professional with an expertise in logistics and coordination? We are currently seeking a dedicated Dispatcher to join a high-performing team in Winnipeg. This contract position is an exceptional opportunity to grow your career within the manufacturing & logistics sector while working for a reputable employer.

In this Dispatcher role, you will handle a variety of essential tasks, including route planning, driver communication, and real-time shipment tracking. This position requires a professional who is highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing & logistics environment. Whether you are adjusting schedules due to weather or coordinating urgent last-minute deliveries, your contributions will be vital to the smooth operation of the department and the overall customer experience.

Responsibilities
- Schedule and dispatch drivers or service vehicles to appropriate locations based on customer requests or manufacturing & logistics requirements.
- Coordinate shipment with customers and various departments through phone and email.
- Assist with front desk reception duties and contact customers as needed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems related to missed deliveries, vehicle breakdowns, or traffic delays.
- Accurate data entry to maintain and enter service records
- Maintain organized records of service calls, maintenance schedules, and driver logs for compliance.

Qualifications
- 2-3 years experience in prior dispatch and/or similar administrative coordination roles.
- Proficiency in dispatching software and GPS tracking systems, along with basic computer literacy.
- Possess attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills to meet strict delivery and service deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative manufacturing & logistics team.
