Company Description
NielsenIQ measures the consumer path to purchase – from online shopping to in-store trips – turning trillions of data points into actionable insights for Retail and Manufacturing clients worldwide. Our Product Leadership team drives market measurement innovation, using data-driven PDLC processes to define product strategy across Panel, Retail Measurement, and the Discover platform.
Job Description
As a Product Manager on the Canadian team, you will own the development and enhancement of NielsenIQ's syndicated measurement products, including expanded coverage solutions. You'll work at the intersection of product strategy, Data Science, Operations, and Commercial teams to design, build, and launch products that bring NielsenIQ's data to the center of the decisions our clients make every day.
This role is end-to-end: from ideation and strategic roadmap ownership through to launch, commercialization, and post-launch performance tracking. You'll engage directly with clients to understand their business needs and translate those into product requirements that meet evolving market demands. Your work will impact Retailers and Manufacturers, from the largest companies in the world to smaller local players.
Your Responsibilities
Own the product roadmap, strategy, and long-term vision, using the voice of the client and data-driven insights to guide decisions. Iterate and adjust based on new information and stakeholder feedback.
Lead end-to-end product development from ideation to launch, including methodological design, reporting granularity, measurement quality, and integration with existing products and services.
Collaborate across Product, Data Science, Operations, Technology, Communications, Product Marketing, Customer Success, and Commercial teams to plan, build, and deploy product enhancements.
Define product requirements and success criteria, bringing structure and clarity to ambiguous problems by identifying client needs and working backwards to create direction and milestones.
Partner with Program/Project Management teams to manage enhancement backlogs, prioritization, value vs. complexity trade-offs, cross-functional dependencies, and new product rollouts, from design and build through validation, beta, and full commercialization.
Develop and refine Go-To-Market materials in collaboration with Commercial, Product Marketing, MarCom and Training team, including pitch decks, objection handling guides, training materials, and usage guidelines.
Engage with Legal and Privacy teams as required to navigate compliance requirements and data usage rights.
Serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert, articulating product strategy to internal stakeholders and clients through regular updates and executive briefings.
Define and track KPIs to measure product performance post-launch, incorporating client feedback loops to inform future enhancements.
Perform industry research and competitive analysis, considering the overall NielsenIQ strategy when making product decisions and recommendations.
