Debit Card Processing Specialist

Apex Systems is a global IT services provider and our staffing practice has an opening for a  Debit Card Processing Specialist to place at our client, a top Canadian Bank under the Personal & Business Banking portfolio.

Client :  A Top Canadian Bank

LOB : Personal & Business Banking

Terms :   6-monthContract to start, subject to extensions (mutli-year)

Location :  Hybrid 2+ days a week Downtown Toronto

Some Specific Functions of This Role :

  • Provide technical analysis and support of The Bank’s debit card ecosystem
  • Interested in either developer or quality assurance skills / interest
  • Work independently and with a team to focus on priority assignments

Qualifications :

  • In-depth knowledge of debit card processing, Interac, M / C & VISA and mainframe
  • 10 - 15 years of system design, analysis and programming experience with extensive business knowledge
  • Strong technical skills with strong skills in mainframe
  • Strong analytical skills for complex problem solving
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • About the role :

    This 6‑month hybrid contract role with a leading Canadian bank supports the Personal & Business Banking group by providing technical analysis and expert support for the bank’s debit card ecosystem. The position requires working both independently and collaboratively to manage high‑priority initiatives, with a focus on either development or quality assurance. Success in the role demands deep knowledge of debit card processing (Interac, Mastercard, Visa), strong mainframe technical expertise, and extensive experience in system design, analysis, and programming. Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and solid organizational skills are also essential.
