About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Study Manager to lead the delivery of technical and economic studies for mining and mineral processing projects across North America.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong process engineering background and a proven ability to manage engineering studies from concept through completion. The successful candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, leading multidisciplinary teams through scoping, execution, and delivery while ensuring technical quality, commercial alignment, and client satisfaction.

The Study Manager will play a critical role in developing trusted client relationships and guiding complex projects through key decision-making milestones, including Preliminary Economic Assessments (PEA), Preliminary Feasibility Studies (PFS), Feasibility Studies (FS), and NI 43-101 compliant technical reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering and technical studies for mining and mineral processing projects.
  • Serve as the primary client interface throughout the study lifecycle, building strong relationships and acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Manage multidisciplinary project teams, coordinating engineering, process, metallurgical, infrastructure, environmental, and commercial inputs.
  • Develop study scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource plans to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Facilitate technical workshops, project reviews, and client presentations.
  • Guide projects through key stage-gate decisions, ensuring study outcomes support client investment and development objectives.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of technical reports, economic evaluations, and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure studies are delivered in accordance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.
  • Identify project risks and opportunities and develop mitigation strategies throughout the study process.
  • Collaborate with business development and technical teams to support proposals, client engagement, and future project opportunities.

Requirements

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Metallurgy, Mineral Processing, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in mining, mineral processing, engineering consulting, or related industrial sectors.
  • Demonstrated experience managing engineering studies from initiation through final delivery.
  • Strong understanding of mineral processing operations, project development, and study methodologies.
  • Experience leading Preliminary Economic Assessments (PEA), Preliminary Feasibility Studies (PFS), Feasibility Studies (FS), and/or NI 43-101 technical studies.
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships and lead discussions with executive, technical, and operational stakeholders.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage competing priorities in a dynamic project environment.

Preferred

  • Direct experience in mineral processing plant design, process engineering, or metallurgical operations.
  • Professional Engineering (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility.
  • Experience working within engineering consulting, EPCM, or technical advisory environments.
  • Familiarity with economic evaluation, capital cost estimation, and project development frameworks.
  • Experience supporting due diligence, investment studies, or strategic project reviews.
