The Maintenance Enforcement Office is seeking a client-focused, highly motivated, and energetic individual to provide administrative support as a Client Service Representative. This position will be of interest to an individual who welcomes the opportunity of dealing with a diverse public and working heavy workloads under daily pressure.
After applications for enrollment are received at the Maintenance Enforcement Office, you will contact the recipient to explain how the Program works and answer any questions or concerns they may have about the Program, the policies and the office procedures. You will review the application for enrollment and the supporting documents, including orders and agreements, for accuracy and completeness. You will set up the files and do registry and data bank searches where appropriate. You will also work closely with the Family Support Officers and enforcement clerks. You will communicate with clients, lawyers, and interested third parties to fulfill enrollment or notice requirements and to obtain information. You will at times act as a liaison between the Family Support Officer and a client, providing pertinent file information or referring them to the appropriate service provider.
In an environment consisting of a high volume of daily mail, you will also provide back-up help with opening and processing mail including payments. You will initiate / update case information by entering payments, adjustments and general account information onto an automated computer system. You will use computer applications to do searches, retrieve and relay information via e-mail, and prepare correspondence, notices and legal documents. You will also occasionally assist walk-in clients by accepting / recording payments, answering their inquiries, helping with enrollment forms and affidavits, and acting as a Commissioner for Oaths.
The successful candidate will have knowledge of general office practices and procedures including mail and payment processing; the Justice system and legal documents; and computer software applications such as Microsoft Word, WordPerfect, e-mail and Internet.
