You as a Business Development and Marketing Manager will:
Marketing & Brand Management
- Develop and execute marketing initiatives that support business development goals
- Develop and refine corporate marketing materials, including brochures, and presentations
- Manage project photography, award submissions, and marketing collateral
- Ensure brand consistency across all communications and proposals
- Support public relations efforts, including press releases and industry publications
- Create advertising graphics and marketing collateral for various industry publications
Business Development
- Participate in the implementation of creative business development strategies for the BC region.
- Assist in identifying, tracking, and qualifying new opportunities (RFQs, RFPs, tenders)
- Maintain and analyze opportunity pipelines and market intelligence
- Support relationship-building efforts with clients, consultants, developers, and industry partners
- Coordinate client meetings, site visits, and industry events
Stakeholder Engagement & Communications
- Support client/partner/subcontractor communications, announcements, and relationship-management initiatives
- Assist with planning and execution of events, trade shows, and sponsorships
- Track client interactions and pursuits using CRM systems
- Collect and analyze feedback from clients and internal teams to improve future pursuits
Proposals & Pursuits
- Support the pursuits team with preparation of RFQs, RFPs, and qualifications submissions
- Coordinate proposal schedules, content development, and internal reviews
- Develop compelling written content, resumes, project sheets, and case studies
- Collaborate with project teams to capture lessons learned and differentiators
- Ensure submissions meet client requirements, branding standards, and deadlines
Strategy, Reporting & Collaboration
- Work with area leadership to align marketing and BD efforts with company growth strategy
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and sector performance
- Track and report on pursuit performance, win rates, and marketing effectiveness
- Collaborate with operations, estimating, and project teams to ensure aligned messaging
Is this the right role for you?
- You have five to ten years of professional work experience managing proposal teams or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience
- You have a Degree or Diploma in Commerce/Marketing/Communications, or an equivalent background in marketing, communication or project management
- You have strong understanding and ability to implementing and managing effective marketing tools and strategies

You have srong understanding of construction procurement processes and delivery models (e.g., DBB, DB, P3, CM)

You have excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills

You have experience with CRM and proposal management tools

You have excellent written communication skills

You are proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project, MS PowerPoint, Bluebeam PDF editor and CAD
