Job description
Are you a detail-oriented administrative professional looking for a fast-paced, engaging role? Our client, a leading logistics provider, is seeking an Operations Administrator to support their Pickering Service Centre. In this role, you will be the backbone of the local operations team, ensuring seamless document processing, excellent customer service, and efficient driver check-ins. Location: Pickering, ON - 100% Onsite

Term: Full-Time Temporary Contract for upto 6 months

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM EST

Compensation: $24.04 / hour

Responsibilities
- Customer Support: Provide excellent customer service and problem resolution in accordance with company policies.
- Customs & Compliance: Verify and process Customs documents. Image documents efficiently, create ACE trips for Southbound drivers, and collaborate with brokers and customs on uncleared Northbound shipments.
- Data Entry & Auditing: Handle high-accuracy data entry (including freight bill entry). Audit Bills of Lading (BOLs) and delivery receipts for regulatory compliance.
- Driver & Contractor Coordination: Perform Driver Check-Ins and review driver collect shipments. Review Contractor Settlement Sheets and bill accessorial service charges back to customers.
- Scheduling: Coordinate and schedule pick-ups and delivery appointments via phone, email, and customer portals.
- Team Collaboration: Assist with mentoring new Operations Associates and support the broader operations team with ad-hoc administrative tasks.

Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of experience in administration, customer service, or a related office field.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in the transportation or Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) industry is a strong asset.
- Tech Savvy: Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and Outlook). Willingness to learn proprietary logistics software.
- Skills: Excellent time-management, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a sharp eye for detail. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
