Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Functional Quality Engineer with strong .NET development expertise. This role requires hands-on experience with C#, ASP.NET, web technologies, SQL Server, and secure coding practices. The ideal candidate will bring both development and testing capabilities to ensure delivery of high‑quality, maintainable, and secure applications.
Role Responsibilities:
· Analyze functional requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage across backend and frontend components.
· Participate in all phases of development to validate functional behavior, performance, and integration points.
· Work closely with developers, business analysts, and product teams to understand system behavior and identify potential defects early in the lifecycle.
· Create and maintain detailed test cases, test plans, and execution reports.
· Validate API behavior, data integrity, and UI rendering across browsers.
· Ensure secure coding practices are followed and verify implementation of security controls.
· Perform unit-level and system-level validation as required.
· Use diagnostic tools and logging to investigate defects, performance issues, and system anomalies.
· Contribute to design documentation and ensure clarity for future maintenance.
· Support continuous improvement by suggesting enhancements and design optimizations.
· Work in an Agile environment and collaborate in iterative sprints.
Essential Skills & Experience:
· Strong expertise in C#, ASP.NET, ASP.NET Core, and Web API development.
· Front‑end development experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and JSON.
· Strong working knowledge of SQL Server, including:
· T‑SQL
· SSRS
· Database administration fundamentals
· Hands-on experience with LINQ and Entity Framework.
· Proven ability to develop and validate secure web applications, with solid understanding of secure coding practices.
· Experience writing or reviewing design documents.
· Proficiency with .NET diagnostic tools for profiling and troubleshooting applications.
· Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design principles, and software design patterns.
· Ability to write clean, readable, maintainable code with adherence to industry coding standards.
· Solid understanding of cross‑browser rendering and UI performance considerations.
· Experience working with a range of technologies and modern development practices.
· Experience writing and maintaining unit tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
· Agile development experience.
Desirable / Nice-to-Have Skills:
VB.NET experience.
Experience with Knockout.js (preferred but not required).
Experience with WF (Windows Workflow Foundation), WCF (Windows Communication Foundation), and WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation).
