Job description

Location :  Scarborough (Hybrid) : 2 days / week

Contract Duration : Asap –Oct 31st

Possibility of extension & conversion to FTE? : Possible, depending on business case and funding.

Schedule Hours : 8 : 30am-5pm Monday-Friday (37.5 hrs / week)

Reason to bring resources : Extra support

Business group : IS&C Cybersecurity

Cybersecurity team works on Data and Security cases stemming from the bank’s various security controls. The Cybersecurity Investigator works with a variety of technologies and business lines to remediate and contain events that pose a network or data risk to the bank.

Candidate Requirements / Must-Have Skills :

  • You have at least 8 years of experience working in a Security Operations Centre or as a Cybersecurity analyst.
  • 8 years of experience interfacing with multiple stakeholders for accountability
  • 8 years of experience with computing, networking, and cybersecurity concepts.

Nice to have :

  • Certifications (Sec+, CySA+, Net+, A+, CISSP Associate) are nice to have
  • Spanish language proficiency

Soft Skills Required :

You are familiar with working in large professional organizations.

  • You are curious about emerging threats and technologies and are interested in applying these to the business.
  • You possess advanced communication (verbal / written / presentation) skills in English. The same in Spanish is a strong asset.

Bets vs average

The ideal candidate holds Security+ and CISSP certifications, has direct experience handling cybersecurity incidents, and can demonstrate strong capability with the relevant tools. In contrast, an average candidate may only bring narrow, task specific experience rather than well rounded incident management expertise.

Education & Certificates :

Post-secondary education or a minimum of 8 years professional work experience.

Candidate review and selection :

2 rounds of interviews

1 –Senior managers;In person or online- 45min –1 hour for behavioral, technical, critical thinking, logical questions etc.

2 –Director;30 –40 minutes for cultural fit and some technical questions etc.
