Job description

Adecco is currently hiring several full-time hardworking and safety-conscious Power Equipment Operators to operate and maintain various types of power equipment for our client in Bolton, ON. This role involves using machinery to transport, load, or unload materials, ensuring efficiency and compliance with safety standards. Our client is a top Canadian retailer is specialized in automotive, sports and houseware. Join our team and play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of a dynamic warehouse environment. Preference given to those with experience with clamp trucks and counterbalance machines.

  • Pay rate: up to $20.60/hour (based on experience)
  • Start date: Immediate
  • Location: Bolton, ON
  • Shifts available: 5:45am - 3:45pm OR 3:45pm - 1:45am
  • Schedule: 10 Hour shifts, Rotational, OR Saturday - Tuesday OR Thursday - Sunday
  • Job type: Full-time | Temporary with possibility of Permanence

General Labour Responsibilities:

  • Pulling inventory for orders, possibly using the centre rider/pallet jack or tugger truck, using RF scanner
  • Preparing packages for shipment and packing goods in shipping containers
  • Assembling package material like boxes or crates and labelling them
  • Unloading shipments and checking their contents for accuracy
  • Assisting in other general labour duties
  • Load and unload trucks, inspect incoming goods, and prepare shipments according to orders.
  • Organize, label, and store materials accurately in designated locations.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare products for delivery while ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
  • Inspect products for damage or defects and report discrepancies to supervisors.
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, shipments, and receiving activities.
  • Work closely with team members and supervisors to ensure seamless operations.

General Labour Requirements:

  • Have a reliable source of transportation
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Available to work 40 hours/week and occasional weekends
  • Experience in a warehouse as a picker/packer, warehouse worker, general labour or laborer would be an asset
  • Must pass a criminal background check
  • Proven experience operating power equipment in a warehouse, construction, or industrial setting.
  • Certification or license to operate specific equipment (e.g., forklift license) is preferred.
  • Experience with cherry pickers, clamp trucks and counterbalance machines preferred
  • Strong understanding of workplace safety protocols.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Experience with computerized inventory systems or warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Knowledge of mechanical operations and troubleshooting for power equipment.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
