About the Opportunity

• Assist the Senior Payment Analyst with remittance preparation (CRA, RQ, WCB / WSIB, EHT)
• Create & maintain predictive and other analytical tools and reports to support the Payroll function
• Investigate and resolve the more complex group retroactive payments and balancing issues
• Review, research, and respond to complete all assigned service request tickets for the Payroll team
• Identify, implement, and document process improvements and assist with payroll system testing
• Work collaboratively with other Payroll team members to support and share best practices
• Execute special projects and ad-hoc reporting as assigned by the Payroll Manager and above
• Assist with payroll training and create/update payroll documentation
• Lead and assist in year-end balancing/reporting

• 1–3 years of experience processing payroll using a payroll management or HRIS system
• Strong computing skills, including MS Office
• Professional certification/designation preferred, or a willingness to enroll in Payroll certification
• Customer-focused approach with excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, and experience with timely solutioning of escalated issues using a ticketing system
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Self-starter and resourceful; ability to adapt and learn new technology and processes quickly
• Collaborative, action-oriented, with strong functional/technical skills
• Nice to have - Bilingual in English and French

Pay Range
$70,000 - $75000 per year
