Building and Engineering Development Manager
Location : Kamloops, BC
Salary Range : $160-180K + Comprehensive Benefits + Relocation Support
The Opportunity :
In this role, you will oversee a team of 17 staff, ensuring building permit and infrastructure development applications are processed effectively, efficiently, and in compliance with regulations. This high-profile leadership position requires strong collaboration, sound judgment, technical expertise, and a proactive approach in working with internal teams, the development industry, and the public.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage the processing of building permits and infrastructure development applications.
- Ensure compliance with municipal regulations, bylaws, and provincial building codes.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of technical staff.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, architects, and contractors to facilitate quality growth and development.
- Represent the municipality in development-related discussions, meetings, and public forums.
