Full-Stack Software Developer

At Shift Auto Group, we’re searching for a Full-Stack Software Developer to help power the systems our teams depend on every day.

Your work will power automotive dealership / service operations across multiple locations—helping teams work efficiently, communicate clearly, and deliver exceptional customer experiences. Every system you touch should reflect our Service Keys : Safety, Care, Integrity, and Efficiency.

This is a hands on, production focused role. You’ll work in real codebases, ship meaningful features, fix real-world issues, and keep critical systems secure, reliable, and fast.

What You’ll Do

Build and maintain full-stack features in live production systems

Support internal tools for CRM, operations, reporting, and automation

Maintain customer-facing websites with a focus on uptime, performance, SEO, and analytics

Integrate with third-party vendors (inventory feeds, DMS platforms, valuation providers)

Build and maintain APIs, webhooks, background jobs, and scheduled tasks

Work directly with MySQL (schema changes, migrations, indexing, optimization)

Monitor systems, troubleshoot issues, and resolve production problems

Write clean, maintainable code and contribute to shared standards

What We’re Looking For

5+ years of professional software development experience

Strong PHP & Laravel (or similar MVC framework) experience

Solid MySQL skills (joins, schema design, performance tuning)

Good JavaScript fundamentals

Experience with REST APIs, webhooks, Git, and GitHub workflows

Comfort working in existing production systems

Nice to Have

AWS, queues / workers, Twilio, SendGrid

React or mobile support experience

Analytics, search, or AI API experience

Automotive or dealership system experience
