Job Summary
IPG Photonics (NASDAQ:IPGP) is seeking a Software Test Lead to join our agile software development and testing team in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Our Kingston group is responsible for inventing, developing, and building novel process monitoring tools for advanced manufacturing industries.
This position involves leading a team of software testers in performing quality assurance testing on the software and hardware modules we develop; scaling our software testing infrastructure and processes; and investigating potential software issues.
Job Functions
- Leading a small software testing team
- Developing strategies to improve our testing processes
- Developing strategies to improve our Python-based automated test systems
- Coordinating with software development and applications teams to develop and execute new feature test plans, schedules, and priorities
- Collaborating with support teams to investigate potential software issues
Requirements
- Excellent learning, communication, and teamwork abilities
- 5+ years of professional software QA testing experience
- 3+ years of experience leading software testing teams
- 3+ years of professional Python development experience
- Extensive knowledge of software development lifecycles and software testing practices
- Industry experience with hardware testing is an asset
