Day Shift position :
5x2

Hourly rate: up to $45.71/hour depending on experience

Your role :

  • Determine the extent of repairs and perform mechanical repairs accordingly by ordering necessary parts.
  • Adjust, repair and\or replace the defective parts manually or with appropriate tool.
  • Try the equipment repaired making sure repairs are performed correctly according to manufacturers’ procedures.
  • Clean, grease equipment and perform other required maintenance.
  • Respect the times established to make the repairs.
  • Inform the Service Supervisor of all the repairs required on the unit and of any concerns the customer may have.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Write up time sheets and job descriptions on work performed.
  • Keep track of time and mileage on repair jobs.
  • Assure that old parts are disposed of properly and warranty parts are clean and stored in its proper place.
  • Tools are clean, kept in proper condition and place both in the shop and service vehicle.
  • Give estimates for repairs when requested by the customer.
  • Participating in training and upgrading both in-house and outside the company.
  • Provide after-hours service if required.
  • To perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

What you bring :

  • Heavy Equipment Technician with Journeyperson certification
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in troubleshooting electrical and hydraulic systems.
  • Knowledge of Komatsu products would be an asset.
  • Advanced knowledge of computer software’s and working with a portable unit.
  • Hardworking, proactive, self-reliant, team worker and focused on customer service.
