Job description

Overview

Description & Requirements Electronic Arts creates next-level entertainment experiences that inspire players and fans around the world. Here, everyone is part of the story. Part of a community that connects across the globe. A place where creativity thrives, new perspectives are invited, and ideas matter. A team where everyone makes play happen.

Operations

Central Technology Operations exists to empower innovation and enable scalability for teams across our organization. We strive for operational excellence to foster data-driven decision-making and enable teams to focus on transformative creativity. Joining Operations means working with strategic partners in world-class technology teams, opportunities to streamline processes and eliminate barriers, and telling stories that support the evolution of interactive entertainment.

(Hybrid Role)

The Role

As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will join EA’s Central Technology Operations Team and lead large-scale technology programs that enable seamless collaboration across product teams and departments. Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will drive operational excellence, optimize processes, and deliver strategic technology initiatives. This role requires strong technical expertise and focuses on driving technological innovation within EA’s gaming ecosystem.

The Operations team serves as a cross-functional partner, fostering efficiency and innovation. As a Senior Technical Program Manager, your expertise in technical program delivery, stakeholder management, and strategic planning will be vital in solving complex problems and advancing our technological capabilities.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead Technical Programs : Build and lead technically-focused programs and initiatives aimed at supporting EA’s innovation goals.
  • Facilitate Collaboration : Engage senior leaders, product teams, engineering, and cross-functional partners to define, plan, and execute technology programs aligned with organizational goals, ensuring technical requirements are met.
  • Drive Alignment : Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders; facilitate alignment and transparency on program goals, progress, risks, and dependencies.
  • Communicate Effectively : Provide concise, data-driven updates to stakeholders and leadership, adapting communication for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Measure Progress : Define, track, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), success criteria, and feedback mechanisms to evaluate program effectiveness and continuous improvement.
  • Manage Change : Lead change initiatives to ensure smooth adoption of new processes or technologies, minimizing resistance and maximizing strategic value.

What You’ll Bring

  • 8+ years of experience in program or project management within technical or engineering environments.
  • Technical acumen with experience working closely with software development, or technical operations teams.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence, challenge, and build consensus across organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing multiple priorities, navigating ambiguity, and driving results independently.
  • Expertise in change management, with the ability to facilitate organizational and technological transitions smoothly.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of translating technical details for diverse audiences.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and resourceful, with a collaborative mindset and a passion for delivering impactful results.
  • We want to connect you with job opportunities that align with your interests, skills, and expertise. When you create an EA Careers Account and are logged into the portal, you can click “Get Recommendations” to view a curated list of job openings. These recommendations are enhanced by automated processing, including artificial intelligence, and take into account your skills and experience. However, all employment decisions are made by our hiring teams, not by automated systems.
