Opportunity
The Annis Residence Supervisor is a member of our leadership team that operates out of the Chilliwack Health and Housing Centre. The primary role is to provide leadership and supervision to the Annis / Butchart housing staff team, to develop and implement creative programming within a residential setting, perform administrative functions such as scheduling and rent payments, and provide support and engagement with participants. The Supervisor will bring connection and advocacy to promote stability and wellbeing in participants’ housing sustenance. This position requires an understanding of the impacts of poverty, trauma, substance use, housing and mental health. This position also requires expertise in community engagement, active participation in Chilliwack housing tables, and working collaboratively with funders and stakeholders. A strong ability to use initiative and to function independently is also required. A good work ethic and high level of commitment to this leadership role is important.
Hours must be flexible to accommodate the needs of a 24-hour / day, 7 days / week program, where support is sometimes required outside of the typical work day hours.

Responsibilities
- Coordinates and oversees Annis Residence (22 participants) and Butchart House (5 participants), and provides overall support to the Annis Housing staff team
- Performs program administrative tasks as delegated by the Manager including hiring, performance appraisals, timesheets, staff scheduling, running team meetings, quarterly stats reporting, etc.
- Participates in the BC Housing CAA meetings to receive housing referrals for Annis, interviews candidates and selects suitable fits for the program - completes intake and orientation processes as per agency standards
- Offers both insight and practical goal-focused counselling strategies while maintaining a safe and respectful environment for participants
- Ensures the program and Annis staff are meeting policy and accreditation requirements, including oversight of our case management system, case noting, safety planning
- Helps to support the organization’s Facilities department with the upkeep of the physical site, including suite inspections, inventory and preparation of suites after move-outs, smoke alarms and sprinkler systems, and overall compliance with Occupational Health and Safety and agency standards
- Develop and implement creative outings and activities, including group workshop sessions that are relevant to participant needs
- Assists in being a larger part of a supportive and positive Leadership team for the Chilliwack Health and Housing Centre site, working alongside the Director, Manager and other Supervisors
- Maintains the health and safety of self, participants and community as a priority, and manages problematic behaviour and emergency situations according to agency policy and practice
