Job description

We are seeking a versatile, results-driven Technical Program Manager (TPM) to spearhead the delivery of complex, multi-million dollar technology initiatives across our matrixed global organization. This role is built for a senior leader who thrives within high-velocity environments and easily navigates ambiguity and systemic complexity.

Operating with an entrepreneurial spirit, you will balance business-critical strategies against technical constraints, engineering scalable processes while dismantling operational bottlenecks. The ideal candidate functions seamlessly as both a high-level strategic Program Manager and a hands-on Project Manager, maintaining a deep commitment to a people-first culture and high-trust team collaboration.

Location: Vancouver, BC (Hybrid – 4 days per week onsite)

Contract Duration: 8-month contract with high likelihood of extension

Work Schedule: Standard business hours, with flexibility to balance program-level steering and tactical project execution.

Advantages
Strategic Portfolio Ownership: Directly shape and drive high-impact global technology roadmaps.

Bimodal Leadership Flexibility: Expand your professional footprint by fluidly shifting between strategic program management and tactical project execution.

High Executive Visibility: Partner directly with multi-disciplinary business and tech leaders to influence enterprise deliverables.

Prime Onsite Setting: Immerse yourself in a highly collaborative, core values-led team culture at our Vancouver office footprint.

Responsibilities
1. Holistic Program Execution & Roadmap Alignment:
Lead end-to-end technical program and project delivery in deep partnership with cross-functional technology and business teams.

Translate long-term business strategy into structured, sequenced multi-year program roadmaps and checkpoint gate criteria.

Establish, monitor, and optimize program checkpoint gates to govern technical quality, architectural feasibility, and release validation.

Identify and eliminate system bottlenecks, manage programmatic escalations, and balance complex business needs versus strict engineering constraints.

2. Financial Governance & Resource Control:
Own and manage holistic program budgets valued at $2M+, performing rigorous financial tracking, capital forecasting, and spend variance analysis.

Keep key delivery milestones strictly mapped to financial layouts, identifying budgetary risks and executing corrective tradeoffs transparently.

3. Agile Governance & Process Optimization:
Assemble and synchronize multi-stream project roadmaps using standard Agile, Scrum, or scaled delivery frameworks.

Act as an operational champion for project management best practices, continuous process simplification, and team alignment.

Coordinate cross-functional stakeholder sessions to drive consensus on global success criteria and deliverable timelines.

Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience Requirements:
Industry Tenure: 8+ years of total experience working within Information Technology or a closely related digital infrastructure field.

Program Leadership: 2+ years of dedicated technical program management experience leading large, cross-functional engineering streams.

Tactical Execution: 7+ years of proven project management and/or senior business analyst experience in fast-paced environments.

Financial Oversight: Demonstrated history of managing large-scale, complex IT portfolios or program budgets exceeding $2M.

Agile Fluency: Extensive working experience driving technical teams via modern Agile delivery methodologies.

Education: Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent enterprise work experience).

Core Personal Attributes & Cultural Alignment:
Entrepreneurial Focus: Resourceful self-starter who continuously innovates, simplifies complex technical structures, and champions creative problem-solving.

High Interpersonal EQ: Exceptional facilitation and communication skills, leading with complete honesty, kindness, and personal accountability.

Adaptive Leadership: Possesses the programmatic maturity and curiosity to coach team members, lead through courage, and prioritize people-first dynamics.

Balanced Demeanor: Integrates fun, joy, and perspective into daily workflows—does not take themselves too seriously while driving high-stakes delivery.
