We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Purchasing Clerk to join our procurement team. The ideal candidate will assist in the day-to-day operations of purchasing goods and services, indirect procurement, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely delivery of materials. This role supports the purchasing team in ensuring smooth supply chain operations and effective vendor management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and Create purchase orders in accordance with company policies and
- procedures.
- Track & follow up orders to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Work in conjunction with Supply Chain Managers and/or Engineers to
- support order fulfillment to meet organization's demand requirements.
- Support Sourcing & Supply Chain Managers with the evaluation and
- execution of dual sourcing and outsourcing activities.
- Effectively interact cross-functionally primarily with Planning, Quality,
- Operations Engineering, Production, Finance, Materials, Marketing and
- other Departments as required.
- Communicate with vendors to obtain price quotes and product information.
- Verify the accuracy of order confirmations, ARs and invoices.
- Coordinate with internal departments regarding purchase requirements.
- Prepare purchasing reports and documentation.
- Resolve issues related to delayed or incorrect shipments.
- Track and maintain GL project records as required, and input into the system.
- Maintain and process monthly blanket orders in the system.
- Produce RFQs, competitive bids, bid evaluations and purchase orders utilizing
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field is a plus
- 2+ years of experience in a purchasing or administrative role
- Knowledge of purchasing procedures and supply chain processes
- Strong organizational and data entry skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with ERP systems a plus
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and problem solving

The base salary range for this position is $55,000 - $69,000 annually. In determining the rate of pay, Amphenol considers a variety of nondiscriminatory factors, including but not limited to geographic location, relevant industry experience, qualifications, skills, and education. It would be rare for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for a given role. Base salary is one facet of Amphenol's total rewards package which includes participation in our comprehensive benefits program with medical, dental, and vision benefits, vacation, sick leave, paid holidays, life insurance, short/long term disability, and membership in our Defined Contribution Pension Plan.
