About the Company
Our client is a manufacturing company. They are looking for a who will be responsible for supporting the external audit process on an ongoing basis, while also contributing to technical accounting and broader accounting analysis. The position provides hands on support to external auditors, coordinates audit requests across internal teams, and supports technical accounting matters, reconciliations, internal controls, and SAP related initiatives.

About the Opportunity
Audit & Assurance Support
Play a key role across recurring external review engagements by preparing detailed schedules, reconciliations, and supporting analyses for periodic and year?end examinations
Act as the primary liaison for external reviewers, addressing follow?ups, investigating variances, and helping resolve issues to ensure clean, timely outcomes
Technical Accounting & Special Initiatives
Contribute to a range of accounting?related projects, including evolving reporting standards, internal policy enhancements, complex transaction assessments, and one?off analyses
Conduct research on technical accounting matters and document rationale supporting estimates, judgments, and financial positions
Financial Analysis, Controls & Process Improvement
Prepare and review complex account analyses, reconciliations, and trend explanations to support management and reporting requirements
Assist with maintaining and strengthening internal control documentation, including identifying gaps and supporting remediation efforts
Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency across reporting, audit, and review processes
Provide ad hoc analytical support and insights to cross?functional finance and accounting stakeholders as needed
About You?
Finance/ Accounting Degree
CPA designation or equivalent
3-5 years of experience is an asset
SAP or any other accounting software knowledge is preferred but not mandatory
Audit experience with large size accounting firm or within public company environment
Salary Range
$95,000 - $105,000/year
