Day Shift position : 5x2 (monday-friday)

Hourly rate: up to $39.94/hour depending on experience

Your role :

Determine the extent of repairs and perform mechanical repairs accordingly by ordering necessary parts.
Adjust, repair and\or replace the defective parts manually or with appropriate tool.
Try the equipment repaired making sure repairs are performed correctly according to manufacturers’ procedures.
Clean, grease equipment and perform other required maintenance.
Respect the times established to make the repairs.
Inform the Service Supervisor of all the repairs required on the unit and of any concerns the customer may have.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Write up time sheets and job descriptions on work performed.
Keep track of time and mileage on repair jobs.
Assure that old parts are disposed of properly and warranty parts are clean and stored in its proper place.
Tools are clean, kept in proper condition and place both in the shop and service vehicle.
Give estimates for repairs when requested by the customer.
Participating in training and upgrading both in-house and outside the company.
Provide after-hours service if required.
To perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

What you bring :

Heavy Equipment Technician with Journeyperson certification
Minimum 3 years of experience in troubleshooting electrical and hydraulic systems.
Knowledge of Komatsu products would be an asset.
Advanced knowledge of computer software’s and working with a portable unit.
Hardworking, proactive, self-reliant, team worker and focused on customer service.
