  • Coordinate work sequencing and site activities with adjacent segments, subsystems, and construction representatives to maintain schedule alignment.
  • Interface with project managers, engineers, inspectors, vendors, subcontractors, and clients to resolve issues and maintain project alignment.
  • Assist with interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews, facilitating technical clarifications with design and engineering teams.
  • Provide field-level problem solving, identify risks, and escalate issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a consistent on-site presence to monitor progress, manage issues, and support field execution.
  • Complete daily field reports and maintain accurate documentation using project control systems.
  • Take all necessary steps to maintain a safe working environment and ensure the safety integrity of all activities undertaken by crews and subcontractors.
  • Lead and actively participate in safety programs including inspections, onboarding, hazard assessments (JHA/FLHA/SWP), near-miss reporting, and incident investigations.
  • Assist in the investigation of accidents and incidents to determine root cause and preventative measures.
  • Maintain accountability for safety performance within the assigned scope of work.
  • Oversee installation quality and ensure all work complies with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Identify, report, and track non-conformances, coordinating corrective actions with Field Engineers or management as required.
  • Promote environmental stewardship by integrating environmental controls into work Assist in developing and managing budgets, cost estimates, and efficiency analyses.
  • Coordinate material procurement, equipment logistics, and site readiness for specialized communications system installations.
  • Establish crew productivity targets and expected hours for specific tasks, managing shift durations and implementing controls to prevent overruns.
  • Review and approve timesheets, ensuring alignment between hours worked and work completed.
  • Lead, mentor, and coach multiple crews, foremen, and subcontractors across active work fronts or simultaneous sites.
  • Foster strong, professional relationships with clients, inspectors, and internal stakeholders to support project success.
  • Provide clear, timely updates on progress, risks, and changes to management and project stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with field coordination teams to schedule and support survey, concrete, quality, safety, and environmental inspections.
  • Provide technical and administrative support to the project team as required.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

Experience in the construction of large civil/structural and/or industrial projects at domestic and/or foreign locations is preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of proven heavy civil construction experience, preferably on LRT or similar public infrastructure projects.

  • Experience with communications systems construction, including telecom infrastructure, fiber optics, network cabling, radio, and security systems.

  • Experience with earthworks, removals, concrete, and heavy equipment operations is considered an asset.
