This role specializes in Schneider's control products to implement building automation controls system for new and renovated buildings as well as upgrades for existing client sites. The successful candidate will be accountable for quality and timely delivery of DDC (Direct Digital Control) programming, configuration, technical troubleshooting, testing and commissioning according to the specifications and design of a building's HVAC system. Technicians will be an active contributor to the project team, escalating any issues or new requests from clients to the Project Manager. The successful candidate will also lead customer training, demos and project close out processes.This role is required to travel approximately 20% of the time to customer sites within BC.Here's how your role will strengthen our team.Your Responsibilities:Read engineering drawings (including but not limited to electrical, mechanical, plumbing IFCs/IFTs) and specifications to develop HVAC control system designsWork with Project Managers, design team and field staff to produce system designs, including shop drawings, programming and graphicsConfigure, integrate, test, commission and service building automation systems including the integration of various HVAC systems such as chillers and boilersAdhere to best practices, industry standards and Houle's commitment to qualityCommunicate any changes, site issues or concerns to the project teamEfficiently and effectively troubleshoot technical systemsActively contribute to the project team, escalating any issues or new requests from clients to the Project ManagerLead customer training, demos and project close out processesIdentify potential business opportunities from interaction with clientsRemain familiar with new products, solution versions, upgrades and compatibilityBe familiar with system integration capabilities of all Houle offerings and 3rd partiesMaintain knowledge of and promote all Houle servicesRequired experience and skills:3+ years of experience in heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) controls programming requiredMinimum 2 years' experience working with Schneider's EcoStruxure platformMechanical or Electrical Engineering degree/diploma or certificationPrevious field experience in the construction industry and/or large healthcare and hospital projects an assetSelf-motivated learnerMust thrive in a fast-paced environmentMust remain calm and professional under pressureMust be organized and able to prioritize and manage many projects at one timeMust have excellent written and verbal English communication skillsMust be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work well with other peopleMust have high integrity and demonstrate trustworthinessValid Class 5 driver's license in good standing with access to a personal vehicleWilling to travel and work in other regions for short periods as neededEnglish written and spoken About HouleAs BC's leading electrical contractor and systems integrator, we believe in delivering safe, reliable power for the future.
