Job description

Responsibilities:

Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering methodologies to support senior systems architects with analysis, development and maintenance of system designs for electrification products including battery packs, BMS, charging systems, ensuring alignment with overall system architecture
Decompose high‑level system requirements into subsystem and component‑level requirements and support traceability through design and validation
Assist with defining system interfaces between battery hardware, BMS software, charging equipment, and vehicle controllers
Participate in system safety activities, including risk assessments, FMEA support, functional safety concept development, and requirements alignment with ISO and IEC
Use ALM tools to maintain requirements, traceability, and verification status across the development lifecycle.

Knowledge/Education:

  • Qualifications:
  • Ability to understand:
    System schematics and diagrams. Mechanical, Hydraulic, Cooling, Electrical, Functional block diagrams Vehicle electronics such as controllers, circuit protection, power distribution modules, relays, sensors, and actuators Programming logic and how it controls mechatronic systems
  • Preferred knowledge/experience with:
    Vehicle control logic and software EV batteries and high voltage/high capacity battery systems Scripting or software development experience (Python, JavaScript, etc..)

  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills
  • Logical and methodical approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements, timelines, and priorities
  • Strong desire to learn and push the boundaries of themselves and our field on a daily basis
  • Friendly disposition. Work well with people of various backgrounds, skillsets, demeanors, and positions
