Computer systems analyst Jobs in Vancouver, BC

Our client, is seeking a high-performing, self-directed HR Systems Analyst to join their human resources technology team during a period of rapid system transformation.

In this critical, hands-on role, you will serve as a functional bridge between business operations, HR, IT, and external vendors to drive two concurrent, large-scale system rollouts. You will focus heavily on system configuration, data mapping, process workflows, and large-scale data workbook manipulation. Operating in a fast-paced environment with strict target launch dates, you will systematically audit data files, lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), troubleshoot system errors, and maintain rigorous documentation to meet enterprise SOX compliance standards.

Position Type: 6-Month Contract

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Required on-site 3 days per week in the Vancouver office for local team collaboration)

Responsibilities
Implementation & Data Management: Build, manipulate, and systematically audit large-scale data workbooks containing hundreds of detailed spreadsheets submitted via secure file transfers (SFTP).

System Configuration & Workflow Mapping: Map legacy system data structures into new target HRIS environments; design and validate functional process workflows.

Testing & Quality Assurance: Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles, analyze system errors, execute defect resolution, and validate source-to-target data integrity.

SOX Compliance & Documentation: Maintain accurate, audit-ready project documentation and process mapping to ensure full compliance with internal SOX standards.

Stakeholder & Vendor Coordination: Partner closely with global payroll managers, HR teams, IT leads, and external implementation partners to keep project milestones strictly on schedule.



Qualifications
Multi-Implementation Track Record: Proven functional experience executing multiple complex human resources and payroll system implementations (not just a single project).

Advanced Excel & Data Skills: High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with a demonstrated ability to manipulate, audit, and clean massive datasets across complex multi-tab workbooks.

Functional HRIS Focus: Deep functional expertise in system configuration, business process workflows, and data mapping (acting as a functional bridge rather than a software developer).

Compliance & UAT Leadership: Proven track record leading UAT testing and managing system documentation within SOX-compliant environments.

Immediate Availability & Holiday Commitment: Immediate availability to start, with a firm willingness to work through the majority of the Christmas and New Year holiday period to support go-live milestones.

Location & Work Style: Located in or near Vancouver, BC for 3 on-site days per week; proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working independently without micromanagement.

Preferred Assets & Nice-to-Haves
Direct functional experience with Dayforce and/or ADP platforms (or comparable enterprise HRIS systems such as Workday or SAP).

Experience operating within SOX-compliant enterprise environments.

Broad experience across diverse industry sectors.
