GrizzlyTrek is hiring First Nations, Metis, Inuit, and non-status Indigenous electricians and apprentices, from first year through Red Seal journeyperson, to build careers in Alberta's electrical trade.

Position Type Full-Time Location Edmonton, Alberta Seats Available Apprentice Electrician (1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year) and Journeyperson Electrician Hours 10 hours per day Compensation Journeyperson starting at $42.00 per hour; apprentice rates based on year and experience Experience Electrical experience in industrial and/or commercial settings, appropriate to your level Certification Journeyperson or Red Seal Electrician for journeyperson seats; registered or eligible Alberta apprentice for apprentice seats.

The Role GrizzlyTrek is seeking Indigenous electricians and apprentices to join our valued client's team on a project based in Calgary, Alberta.

This is a full-time opportunity supporting industrial and commercial electrical installation and maintenance work.

We are filling both journeyperson seats and apprentice seats across all four years.

Journeypersons will work hands-on in the field, mentor apprentices, and coordinate with site teams to deliver quality, code-compliant electrical work safely and on schedule.

Apprentices will build their skills alongside Red Seal journeypersons while advancing through their apprenticeship.

What You'll Do Perform industrial and commercial electrical installations and maintenance Support industrial and commercial construction projects Carry out cable pulling and terminations, cable tray installations, MCCs, PLCs, lighting, and power distribution Work outdoors and at heights, including trenching and general physical labour Read prints and complete reports, QA/QC, and safety documentation Apprentices: build your skills under supervision and advance through your apprenticeship Journeypersons: mentor apprentices and coordinate with site teams What You Bring Indigenous identity (First Nations, Metis, Inuit, or non-status Indigenous) Journeyperson seats: Journeyperson or Red Seal Electrician certification Apprentice seats: registered, or eligible to register, as a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year apprentice in the Alberta electrician trade Industrial and/or commercial construction experience appropriate to your level Ability to read prints and complete reports, QA/QC, and safety documentation Valid driver's license and readiness to travel Preferred Qualifications Rigid conduit experience Safety tickets: Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform (AWP), and Standard First Aid What We Offer Apprenticeship seats with mentorship from Red Seal journeypersons Support advancing through your apprenticeship toward Red Seal certification Competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications Opportunities for overtime based on operational requirements Life insurance: $100,000 employee / $10,000 spouse / $5,000 per child AD&D insurance with critical illness and cancer coverage Extended health care: drugs, hospital, hearing, orthotics, nursing Paramedical services: chiro, physio, massage, mental health (annual coverage) Vision care: glasses, contacts, laser surgery, and exams Dental care: 80% basic ($2,500), 50% major ($2,500), $2,500 ortho for children Travel insurance: up to $5,000,000 per incident (trips up to 90 days) Ongoing training and career development support Apply now at www.grizzlytrekgroup.com Free AI Resume Enhancement Tool | AI Job Assistance available Powered by JazzHR
