Opportunity

McElhanney is seeking a motivated Intermediate / Senior Civil Engineering Technologist to join our team and grow their design expertise across a wide range of private and public projects, including municipal infrastructure, subdivisions, and multi-family developments. This role is designated as a safety-sensitive position and completion of a pre-employment drug & alcohol and fitness for work testing is required.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Develop detailed engineering designs and drawings for civil municipal and land development projects, including water, sewer, stormwater, roadways, and site grading
• Translate concepts, sketches, and field data into accurate plans using Civil 3D and other technical software
• Prepare documentation for permits and approvals, including design reports, cost estimates, and tender packages
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to meet project timelines, budgets, and quality standards
• Identify and resolve design and field issues proactively, applying independent problem-solving
• Support contract administration, construction coordination, and technical reviews as needed

What Can We Offer You

The salary range for this position is $71,000 – $110,000 per annum. McElhanney offers fair compensation that is commensurate with the individual’s education, experience, skills, and professional qualifications. The posted base salary / wage range is representative of the required level of qualifications and experience for the position as noted in the job posting. The salary offered will be based on the experience and qualifications of the successful candidate.
