The Client Engineering team within Global Wealth Management Technology is transforming the digital experience for our wealth clients. Working closely with partner digital teams, the team delivers world‑class solutions across all Scotia Wealth Management digital channels, playing a key role in helping our investors manage their investments and achieve their financial goals.

Global Wealth Engineering Technology Team is looking for an energetic and results-oriented Technical Analyst to join our team to help build our platform for our wealth customers. We’re looking to fill our team with influencers, makers, creators and leaders who are flexible, curious, adventurous, versatile and responsive; and who are ready to roll up their sleeves in a collaborative and productive environment to get things done.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • Coordinate closely with Product Owners and the UX design team to perform thorough requirement reviews and feasibility analysis
  • Manage and support the intake process across multiple teams and stakeholders
  • Apply Agile methodologies and continuous improvement principles to deliver digital products incrementally and iteratively
  • Possess a solid understanding of systems development techniques, including requirements specification, documentation, testing methodologies, real-time analytical and formal modelling tools, and keep current with rapidly changing technology
  • Work with stakeholders, product owners, development teams, UI/UX designers, and QA to define, prioritize, and refine acceptance criteria
  • Create, refine, and maintain user stories and related artifacts, including process flows, acceptance criteria, and specifications by example
  • Recommend solutions that optimize user experience while meeting business and stakeholder needs
  • Provide production support, including impact analysis and mitigation or resolution strategies
  • Use SQL scripting for data analysis and conditioning to support business analysis, development, and QA testing
  • Maintain clear and accurate project and systems documentation

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:

  • 3-5 years working as a Technical Analyst and/or Business Systems Analyst on Digital IT initiatives
  • Strong hands‑on experience with Agile practices, including user stories, Scrum, Kanban, retrospectives, and team planning
  • High-level understanding of cloud‑based, microservices‑oriented architectures
  • Excellent SQL skills for data analysis and validation
  • Experience working on client‑facing digital applications within the financial services industry
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, evolving environment

Nice-To-Have Skills:

  • Strong understanding of Wealth Management / Brokerage business processes and workflows
  • Unix or shell scripting experience
