At KWE, we are one of Canada’s fastest growing 3PL service providers. With a global network and a commitment to excellence, we deliver world-class logistics solutions to our customers. Our success is built on the dedication of our people; many of our leaders started in entry-level roles and grew their careers with us. If you’re looking for a place where hard work and ambition are recognized and rewarded, we’d love to meet you.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a WMS Technical Specialist to support the successful launch and ongoing optimization of our Warehouse Management System (WMS) within the 3PL Division. In this role, you will play a key part in implementing the end-to-end Tecsys Mainline WMS solution using the iTopia Framework, ensuring seamless integration with warehouse operations and consistent application of WMS processes across all functional areas.
You will be responsible for system configuration, functional testing, setup of new features, and continuous enhancement of warehouse processes. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a major systems rollout, improve operational efficiency, and help shape the future of our WMS environment.
What You’ll Do
- Configure and maintain the Tecsys Mainline WMS, including workflows, rules, allocation strategies, and user setup.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Support new warehouse launches, site expansions, and rollout of new WMS modules.
- Coordinate system upgrades, patches, deployments, and configuration migrations.
- Install and test warehouse hardware (RF devices, printers) and provide technical support to end users.
- Use PostgreSQL and integration tools (APIs, flat files, EDI) to resolve data issues and ensure accurate data flow.
- Conduct system testing, go-live support, issue triage, and post-implementation stabilization.
- Generate operational reports, support user training, and contribute to special projects as needed.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3–7 years of WMS experience, with hands-on Tecsys Mainline expertise strongly preferred.
- Background in distribution, logistics, or warehouse operations is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of the iTopia framework, system integrations, APIs, EDI, and data migration workflows.
- Proficiency in SQL, with hands-on PostgreSQL experience (queries, views, troubleshooting, optimization).
- Familiarity with RF devices, barcode formats, label printing, and warehouse automation tools.
- Ability to analyze system logs, data files, and interface messages to diagnose issues.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to write clear reports, documentation, and technical communication.
- Experience with cloud-based WMS platforms is considered an asset.
Why Join KWE?
- Fast-paced, dynamic environment with a great team
- Opportunity for advancement
- Generous bonus program linked to company & individual success
- Competitive and equitable compensation packages
- Comprehensive group benefits
- Company paid pension program
- Accessible and inclusive work environment
