Job description

Brannon Steel is looking for an experienced Laser Cutting Machine Operator to work at its Brampton manufacturing location on the afternoon shift. From $25.11 per hour and up PLUS up to $2 per hour in afternoon shift premiums.

Shifts:

Afternoon (3pm-11pm)

Duties

Operate one or more laser cutting machines in a safe, efficient manner (i.e. setup, monitoring, troubleshooting).
Perform basic machine maintenance (i.e. centering lens, changing consumables, emptying waste).
Organize equipment and materials to minimize downtime.
Perform material handling activities (i.e. locating material, loading/unloading machine) using an overhead crane or other material handling equipment.
Complete all required documents in an accurate and timely manner.
Complete assigned housekeeping activities and contribute to overall shop cleanliness and organization.
Assist other Laser staff when work schedule permits.
Comply with all applicable company policies, procedures, and practices.

Requirements

Comfortable with the use of computers.
Overhead crane experience with valid record of training.
Able to read and interpret nest plans and part drawings.
Able to complete all required documents accurately clearly.
Demonstrated safe work habits, commitment to quality, and attention to detail.
