Notice of Employment Opportunity January 6, 2025 Recreation Program Student The Corporation of the Town of Tecumseh is currently recruiting a highly motivated student to fill the position of Recreation Program Student, in the Community & Recreation Services Department. Job Summary Reporting to the Senior Manager Recreation Services, the Recreation Program Student will provide support to the Community & Recreation Services Department in providing community recreation programs, including program set-up / take-down, purchasing of program materials & supplies, as well as leading, instructing and supervising programs. The Recreation Program Student will also assist with the production of virtual recreation programs and department-produced videos. Qualifications and Requirements The successful candidate must be enrolled in a secondary or post-secondary. The preferred candidate will have demonstrated background and experience in recreational programming. The successful candidates must have Standard First Aid with CPR-C, and Automatic External Defibrillator certification. Experience working in creative programming and / or High Five Certification will be considered as asset. The preferred candidates will have knowledge of Town of Tecumseh Health and Safety policies and procedures and WHMIS regulations. Candidates must be able to work up to thirty-five (35) hours each week, Sunday through Saturday, between the months of May to September, including evenings, weekends and holidays. Salary The Town offers an hourly salary of $18.16 (under review) for this position.
