Our client working in the Non-Profit industry is hiring for two Donation Coordinators to join their team on a contract until March 31st 2025. This is a full time onsite position located in Ajax. We are looking for the successful candidate to be able to get started right away.
The Donations Coordinator will manage and distribute donations while connecting with donors, partners, and clients. As the main contact for inquiries about donations, they will collaborate with team members to support newcomer integration and help train volunteers.
Responsibilities :
Donor Relations : Handle emails and calls, process donations, respond to inquiries, and send thank-you messages. Research and reach out to potential donors.
Donation Management : Oversee donation processes, including organizing pick-ups and deliveries, to ensure fair distribution.
Event Planning and Fundraising : Plan events like auctions and raffles to raise funds and awareness. Develop fundraising strategies and work with finance to ensure sustainability.
Data and Reporting : Maintain records of donors, volunteers, and clients for reporting.
Volunteer Training : Assist in training volunteers for donation processes and interpretation.
Professionalism and Compliance : Uphold professionalism with donors, partners, and clients, ensuring legal and tax guidelines are followed.

Qualifications :
Education : Degree or diploma in Social Services, Fundraising, Marketing, or similar.
Experience : 4+ years in settlement services, donation management, or volunteer coordination.
Skills : Strong project management, communication, and basic computer skills. Knowledge of anti-oppression and trauma-informed care is beneficial.
Language : English proficiency; knowledge of a second language is a plus.
Additional Requirements :
Flexibility for occasional evening and weekend work.
Valid Ontario driver’s license with access to a vehicle.
Vulnerable Sector Screening and COVID-19 vaccination required.
