ENWIN Utilities Ltd., is currently accepting applications for the :
SUMMER STUDENT EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM
($ 19.62 per hour)
- includes 4% vacation pay
ENWIN Utilities Ltd. operates a Summer Student Employment Program for the efficient completion of seasonal work and employee vacation relief. The Summer Student Lottery Program runs from the beginning of May until the end of August. All positions are full time, to a maximum of 40 hours per week for the duration of the program.
Eligible participants in the Program are defined as any person enrolled in a recognized post-secondary educational institution on a full-time basis, who will be returning as a full-time student in the fall and who holds a valid Ontario Class G or G2 Driver's License in accordance with the Highway Traffic Act. Students hired under the Program are excluded from the bargaining unit.
The department heads for each business unit will determine the number of positions available for the program.
Placements will be based on the following priorities :
Those applicants who had participated in the immediately preceding year and who continue to meet eligibility requirements will be exempted from the draw on a one-time only basis, but are still obligated to provide notice of their interest through the submission of a resume.
For those applicants that are new to the program, the resume will be entered into a lottery. Depending on the number of positions requested, the required number of interviews will be conducted. Selection will be based on placement within the lottery, availability, as well as the interview process. Although all applications are appreciated, only those students selected for an interview will be contacted.
Students will be expected to provide their own CSA approved work boots.
