Job description

Our client, a well-established leader in the automotive distribution industry, is seeking an experienced Identity & Access Management Specialist to join their Information Services team. This role will take ownership of enterprise identity platforms supporting workforce, dealer, and customer access, playing a key part in enabling secure, seamless digital experiences across the organization. Responsibilities
**Identity Platform Management**
- Act as subject matter expert for enterprise identity platforms, ensuring secure integration of workforce and customer identities and seamless synchronization of access across core business systems
- Configure, maintain, and optimize IAM solutions supporting authentication, authorization, and access lifecycle management
- Contribute to platform roadmaps aligned with enterprise security strategy and evolving business needs
- Collaborate with technical teams to integrate IAM solutions with new and existing systems

**Identity Integration & Governance**
- Own identity flows across critical enterprise systems, ensuring consistent enforcement of access policies
- Support and enhance RBAC, MFA, and SSO configurations aligned with regulatory requirements
- Partner with compliance, audit, and security teams on controls, access reviews, and governance initiatives
- Contribute to IAM policy and standards development

**Identity Processes & Enablement**
- Document and implement repeatable IAM processes to ensure secure, scalable identity operations
- Support access certification campaigns and audit activities
- Streamline access request and approval processes, balancing security and business productivity
- Support automation initiatives for provisioning, deprovisioning, and access changes

**Vendor & Service Provider Liaison**
- Serve as technical liaison with managed service providers and vendors supporting IAM platforms
- Review vendor roadmaps and communicate platform changes to internal stakeholders
- Monitor service delivery against SLAs and KPIs

**Operational Support & Continuous Improvement**
- Provide Tier 2/3 escalation support for IAM-related incidents and service requests
- Analyze incident trends and operational gaps to inform improvements
- Develop automation scripts and workflows (e.g., Okta Workflows, Terraform) to enhance provisioning, monitoring, and audit readiness

Qualifications
- University Degree or College Diploma in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in IAM-focused roles supporting enterprise identity platforms (e.g., Okta, Auth0, Azure AD)
- At least one IAM certification (e.g., CIAM, Okta Certified Professional/Admin, Auth0 Implementer, Microsoft SC-300) and one security certification (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, CISM, CISA, SANS-GIAC, CCSK)
- Hands-on experience with user lifecycle management, RBAC, access governance, and application integrations using identity standards (SAML, OIDC, OAuth, SCIM, Zero Trust)
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks (SOX, PIPEDA) and conducting access reviews
- Experience supporting identity-related incident investigations (e.g., MFA fatigue, account compromise)
- Experience integrating IAM solutions in cloud and hybrid environments
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex identity concepts to both technical and business audiences
- Proven ability to collaborate across security, infrastructure, and business teams
