We are seeking a dynamic, experienced and forward-thinking General Manager to oversee day-to-day retail operations, streamline organizational workflows, and lead our team with integrity, motivation, and empathy.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operational Efficiency & Business Management

  • Oversee multi-location storefront operations and online fulfillment processes to ensure high accuracy, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
  • Refine internal workflows, digital records, and inventory tracking systems to eliminate administrative bottlenecks.
  • Track key operational metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement practical solutions.

2. People Leadership, Culture & Human Rights

  • Act as a present, inspiring, and accessible leader across all locations, maintaining high team morale and accountability.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and equitable workplace culture aligned with the Ontario Human Rights Code and modern workplace accessibility standards.
  • Conduct regular coaching, performance reviews, and team check-ins rooted in clear communication and mutual respect.

3. Client Experience & Healthcare Service Excellence

  • Maintain a welcoming, dignified customer experience for individuals seeking life-enhancing medical equipment.
  • Resolve escalated client or supplier inquiries with composure, discretion, and professionalism.

  • Experience: 3+ years of progressive leadership experience in retail management, medical equipment/supplies, or healthcare retail operations.
  • Operational Mindset: Demonstrated ability to organize systems, manage inventory workflows, and build efficient daily procedures.

We need a leader who is has complex critical thinking skills and is able to recognize the ways we can improve operations and have enough confidence to not only communicate this to the leadership team but also be assertive enough to defend their decisions and encourage the necessary change to make our organization more efficient, transparent and profitable, because greater profits means a greater profit for you.
  • Leadership Style: An empathetic, highly motivating communicator who builds trust, respects diversity, and advocates for employee well-being.
  • Human Rights & Compliance Knowledge: A solid understanding of Ontario employment standards, accessibility regulations (AODA), and human rights principles in the workplace.

the successful candidate will need to:

  • Oversee operations between multiple locations.
  • Have a clean criminal record.
  • Must have a vehicle and be willing to travel to different regional locations on a daily basis (You will still be home nightly)
  • Must be willing to take constructive criticism.
  • Must be willing to work within a business which is constantly evolving, growing and changing.
  • Must understand that some days can be difficult and that this role will require the need to make difficult decisions, deal with complex issues requiring the ability to troubleshoot these challenges to attempt to find solutions and to occasionally be the one required to put out dumpster fires!
