Key responsibilities:
-
Analyze process requirements and evaluate equipment/systems to ensure deliverables meet or exceed manufacturing and process specifications.

Apply continuous improvement principles, using tools such as 5S, Kaizen, and process measurement to reduce variation, defects, and cycle time.

Evaluate and recommend new process technologies that enhance performance, reduce costs, and improve product quality and manufacturing methods.

Analyze data trends to assess scale‑up, functionality, and process performance, improving quality, consistency, productivity, efficiency, and risk levels.
-
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Quality, Maintenance, Commercial, Operations) to meet product specifications and production schedules.
-
Conduct observations, measurements, and data collection; interpret findings and generate reports, flow diagrams, and charts.
-
Support Production and HR in developing work instructions and training materials.
-
Monitor and improve plant efficiency, output, and safety while assessing the adequacy of existing processes and equipment.
-
Ensure all operations comply with required regulations and safety standards; maintain accurate documentation and execute hands‑on production trials.

Liaise with process engineers and related teams, ensuring all food safety and employee safety requirements are met or exceeded.
About you:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Food Science, Food Technology, Industrial Engineering or an equivalent field).

Minimum 3 years’ experience in the field of similar function/position – preferably a food manufacturing environment.

Intermediate level skills with Microsoft Office software.
-
Experience working with minimal supervision.
-
Experience with SAP an asset.
-
Bilingual (English/French) an asset.

Travel requirements: occasional 25%

Must be able to freely move around entire facility.

Must be able to lift 55 lbs
-
Ability to work in and be exposed to heat.
Compensation: Annual Range: $57,440 - $71,800 CAD
Working Hours: 8:00am to 4:30pm
Shift Details: Monday to Friday
