About the Organization
The Association for New Canadians (ANC) is a long‑established, non‑profit organization committed to supporting the successful settlement and integration of immigrants and refugees across Newfoundland and Labrador. With over 45 years of service delivery, the ANC provides a wide range of programs including language training, employment support, youth engagement, and community integration through multiple sites across the province.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled, detail‑oriented, and collaborative professional for the role of Financial Controller . Reporting to the Senior Director of Finance, HR, and IT , this senior finance role provides strategic and operational leadership for the organization’s financial management and reporting functions.
The Financial Controller manages and optimizes financial systems to ensure accuracy, integrity, and integration across the organization. The role oversees financial reporting, project and grant accounting, budgeting and forecasting, and ensures compliance with funding agreements and organizational policies, supporting sound decision‑making and long‑term financial sustainability.
Role and Responsibilities
Financial Reporting and Data Management
- Use Sage 300’s financial reporting tools to develop customized reports and dashboards that provide insights into program performance, budgets, and funding compliance
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, dashboards, and reconciliations
- Analyze financial data, monitor cash flow, and ensure alignment with budgets and funding requirements
