Detailed Job Description:
The ITAM/CMDB Administrator will support and drive key initiatives within IT Asset Management and Configuration Management. This role ensures accurate asset lifecycle oversight, maintains data quality across ITAM and CMDB platforms, and partners with multiple operational teams to deliver best‑in‑class service management practices. The ideal candidate brings strong technical knowledge, project execution capabilities, and hands-on experience with leading ITAM toolsets.
Top 3 Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of hardware, software, and SaaS asset lifecycle management CMDB expertise, including data models, relationships, and reconciliation Project Management experience in ITAM, CMDB, or service management environments
Top 3 Preferred Skills
Experience using ITAM tools such as:
ServiceNow ITAM/SAM
SCCM/MECM
Intune
Familiarity with IT discovery sources and integration points Knowledge of automation and workflow enhancements for asset processes
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the execution of ITAM project deliverables across the enterprise.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Procurement, Finance, IT Operations, Security, and Vendor Management.
- Assist with data discovery, normalization, asset tracking, and reconciliation for hardware, software, and SaaS assets.
- Contribute to CMDB accuracy, improving data associations and lifecycle workflows.
- Create and maintain documentation, dashboards, status updates, and risk/issue logs.
- Partner with ServiceNow, MECM, and Intune tool owners to support configuration, automation, and data quality improvements.
- Provide insights related to hardware/software compliance, inventory optimization, and governance activities.
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience in IT Asset Management or related domains (Project Management, Configuration Management, Procurement, or Software Asset Management).
Strong understanding of hardware, software, and SaaS asset lifecycle management.
Hands-on experience with:
ServiceNow ITAM/SAM
SCCM/MECM
Intune
Solid understanding of CMDB structures, discovery sources, and data integration methods.
Ability to communicate effectively and support cross‑functional initiatives.
