Job Summary
We are seeking a Junior Project Manager/Analyst for a contract opportunity in Etobicoke within the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry. This role is ideal for an early-career project professional who enjoys organizing work, tracking project details, supporting stakeholders, and helping project teams stay aligned.
As part of an IT Operations Management PMO team supporting a Global Infrastructure Standardization Initiative, the Junior Project Manager/Analyst will help coordinate project planning, monitoring, reporting, governance, and process improvement activities. This is a strong opportunity to build hands-on project management experience in a structured, professional environment with exposure to global infrastructure initiatives, cross-functional teams, and established PMO practices.
The work environment offers the opportunity to collaborate with experienced project leaders and stakeholders while developing valuable skills in project coordination, reporting, risk tracking, governance, and stakeholder communication. Candidates who are detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable following up with teams will be well positioned for success.
Key Responsibilities
- Support project planning by documenting project steps, scope, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Monitor project progress, metrics, tasks, and action items to help ensure work is completed on schedule.
- Follow up with workstreams and stakeholders to gather updates, resolve open items, and maintain project momentum.
- Track project risks, issues, dependencies, opportunities, and potential threats to support informed decision-making.
- Help maintain governance processes, including risk management, change control, quality assurance, and standardized reporting.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve project processes, reporting, and coordination practices.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $25 per hour.
- Job Type: Contract/Temporary.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Location: Etobicoke
- Work Arrangement: Hybrid
