Job descriptionBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience) Minimum 5 years of experience specializing in data migration from legacy systems to modern platforms Minimum 5 years of experience as a Programmer Analyst , including work with financial and / or loan systems Minimum 4 years of SQL development experience , including T-SQL, PL / SQL, and / or Oracle SQL Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Demonstrated experience migrating complex datasets with validation, cleansing, reconciliation, and archiving Experience working with financial, loan, or housing systems Strong experience with : SQL (T-SQL, PL / SQL, Oracle SQL) SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) Microsoft Access and Microsoft Excel Visual Studio and VB Scripting Experience working within government or public-sector environments Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams , including internal staff and external vendors

Job Description
Project Overview
The client is seeking a Senior Programmer Analyst to support the Housing New Brunswick (HNB) Loans Project. The successful candidate will be responsible for the migration and conversion of loan data from multiple legacy systems into a Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) solution, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and successful deployment.
This role requires strong expertise in data migration, SQL development, financial / loan systems, and collaboration with government stakeholders and vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead data migration and conversion activities from multiple legacy loan systems into the HNB COTS solution using vendor-supplied data loaders
- Perform detailed data mapping and transformation between source systems and the target platform
- Ensure data integrity through validation, cleansing, reconciliation, and error resolution
- Facilitate and lead data cleanup, configuration, and technical specification sessions with business and technical stakeholders
- Identify, document, and manage risks, issues, and dependencies related to data conversion
- Support the definition and execution of data archiving strategies for legacy records not being converted
- Work closely with Quality Assurance teams to support testing, defect resolution, and validation of migrated data
- Collaborate with HNB project teams, Service New Brunswick, multiple government departments, and external vendors to ensure project milestones are met
- Assist with production deployment and post-implementation data verification
