Responsibilities
Oversee daily time-tracking using specialized transit software, investigating punch-on / off discrepancies and maintaining accurate records for a large unionized workforce.
Manage the end-to-end process for weekly overtime postings, annual vacation bidding, and holiday sign-ups across multiple facilities to ensure seamless operational coverage.
Review, code, and input commercial invoices, ensuring all billing is reconciled against monthly statements.
Process employee time-off requests, monitor absence statuses, and maintain highly confidential health and safety documentation in compliance with privacy standards.
Actively participate in cross-functional training to provide departmental backup and contribute to a professional, "can-do" culture focused on delivering reliable services.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll or clerical administration, ideally within an automotive, transit, or unionized industrial setting.
Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and proficiency with ADP.
Strong understanding of Ontario’s Standard Labor Act, Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA), and general office procedures related to Health and Safety.
